United by a shared commitment to empower women through their creative passions, Catherine Malandrino and Mary J. Blige will launch FFAWN+CATHERINE MALANDRINO, a collaborative collection of t-shirts during NYC Fashion Week. A portion of proceeds from the line will benefit FFAWN: Foundation for the Achievement of Women Now – a charity founded by Mary J. Blige in 2008 and includes Catherine Malandrino among the Board of Directors.

To celebrate the launch, Catherine Malandrino and Mary J. Blige will host a personal appearance on February 17^th at the newly opened 350 sq ft Catherine Malandrino shop-n-shop on the 3^rd floor of Bloomingdales 59^th Street. FFAWN+CATHERINE MALANDRINO will also be available at Catherine Malandrino boutiques worldwide.

“Mary and I share a very strong sense of heart, faith, soul and life that we bring to our work and hope to share with women across the world. We wanted to design a capsule collection that was fun, accessible and delivers our messages of encouragement in a clear voice,” says Catherine Malandrino.

The collection of t-shirts includes 8 different hand-painted female mantras such as: “I’m Free”, ‘I’m Love”, “I’m Power”, “I’m Good” – all in a sophisticated tunic style and slight off-the-shoulder neckline. Additional styles will incorporate abstract illustrations of a phoenix, the FFAWN logo, along with leather crafts.
