CATHERINE MALANDRINO to stage Unprecedented Lincoln Center Presentation Open for New Yorkers

The Malandrino Spring/Summer 2011 presentation will take place on September 12^th at the Paul Milstein Pool and Terrace at Lincoln Center’s Hearst Plaza. This unique venue will host a tableau showcasing 40 models for the public on pedestals placed inside the reflecting pool set against a backdrop of the Henry Moore sculpture. Under a portico, a live classical musical performance will accompany the presentation.

Inspired by her love for the South of France, Catherine proposed an outside promenade to build upon the atmosphere of water and sky. Adjacent to the reflecting pool lies a tree grove that will remain open to the public the day of the show – allowing New Yorkers to view the Malandrino presentation for the first time. Onlookers will also get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the model’s hair and make-up preparation presented by stylists Laurent Philippon for Bumble & Bumble and Val Garland for MAC - taking place on the ground floor of Avery Fisher Hall. The room boasts floor to ceiling windows that will remain open to provide an intimate view of backstage life.
