On Friday night, I celebrated my dear friend Kim Hastreiter’s (of Paper Magazine) birthday at chef Marcus Samuelsson’s newest NYC restaurant – Red Rooster. It’s is a revival of the original Harlem speakeasy and made for a great evening of friends, delicious comfort food of southern and African dishes and soulful music that included a live performance by Pink Martini. A fantastic evening of joy. Happy Birthday Kim!
